Reality Swings

five of them

I

I love when we speak in our riddles and
Then in spite of that when we understand
How everything is always understood
Now in our equipoise here between good
And evil one thing and another to
Pull down the pillars of dichotomy
That everyone is dying to live for
When we must be slaves live then to die free

II

You start to notice things after awhile
Invisible elephants in the room
Like the window just now in the hallway where
Yesterday how just a blank wall was there
Before today a blank expression then
Though certainly looking like certainty
As if tomorrow had come yesterday
And answering always should someone ask when

III

But if someone would I know I could be
If not forever for now anyway
An eyewitness to wrinkling reality
A crinkling of its curtain like a smile
Asking me about my reality
Does it swing could it sing does it have a beat
I could dance to should I get a chance to
And would I if it were something to eat?

IV

Not making haste is a matter of taste
Mindfulness makes it more interesting
And something if I could I would dance to
Should I write tomorrow from today to say
Assuming nothing but now I presume
Turning between the learning and the burning
To eat with a beat what can sing and will swing
My way when reality swings for me

V

I know what you mean when I am here with you
For now anyhow then here you are today
Where yesterday was there tomorrow to soar
In the in between anyway with me
Up in the sky undersea or overland
For anywhere anyone ever may be
Here we are now everywhere as hand in hand
We understand each other more and more

Where we go together even when we come apart
You are always with me on the inside of my heart
