Hey Hey
To prevent or treat or both, by anecdote or double blind trials or both, as individual supplementation or in combination and if latter which, through diet or nutraceutical or pharmaceutical or variable? Many of us would be really interested to read source material for this application as it's such an important medical condition. Maybe we should have separate subforums for really important conditions? I recommend GC starts and leads a subforum on this topic (Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatments for Alzheimer's). Anyone care to second (and volunteer to moderate)?
Rick
It will be interesting to see which are better than placebos.
Hey Hey
Should water not be on that list? (That's a serious comment BTW)

Not a bad idea! Pure water is essential to brain health.
Rick
Too bad we can't do double blind studies for water! What placebo could you use?

Interesting idea. Not the best idea, but you might be able to have two different groups, one controlled and one "placebo". Tell both groups water intake is part of the standardized diet and have the two consume different quantities. Then have them both take a sugar pill as "treatment".
Rick
That might work.

I would be down to moderate (if I can be trusted lol). I am over Memtrax so you don't have to worry about that smile.gif I can try and get a few doctor friends of mine to share their current research as well.

For now, I am going to pin some topics in the medicine forum for each of the major neurological conditions. We will need to get LD involved if we want to create sub- forums.
