Curious what your thoughts are on health care reform. Are you in favor of a universal form of health care? Opposed? Any thoughts on the matter?

Looks like health care lobbyists are spending over $1.4 Million a day to sway public and political opinion. Here are a couple good links on the matter:

theres so much bs floating around on that subject that I don't even know what to believe

Believe this:

Universal single payer health care is the way to go (Conyers Kucinich bill). Universal because it will cover everyone so the risk is diluted maximally reducing cost for everyone. Single payer to cut out all those profit making middle man insurance companies. Medicare is universal signle payer, and most on Medicare love it. Just lower the age from 65 to zero and you got it. Subsidize the destitute by repealing the Bush tax cuts for the top half a percent (six million dollars per year and up).

I agree and often at a loss for what I think on the matter. Yet, the idea of some kind of universal health care does appeal to me due to the fact of increasing numbers of uninsured members of our society amid skyrocketing costs and fees. I feel that it may be possible to have a public and private healthcare system similar to our educational system. The costs are likely to be quite significant, however, and various lobbying groups profit quite handsomely from the current system. Definitely will be interesting to see how this issue unfolds.
