Perforated...the pages of life
that much easier to crumble
a history wasted in a plastic basket
3.39 with club card price
the cost of scripture and bad advice
vomit, spit it at the next-gen breed
the awful stench of broadband speed.
i took a page from the reckless spawn
of the kids of baby boomers
it read slackers are just alienated late bloomers
those kids, siblings... sisters and brothers
now too stoned to read too much
into the heartache of their mothers
what's to be expected of a child armed
only with xeno pens and a notebook?
hope? they done took...
redemption? they won't look...

The rythm of your words makes me wonder how this effort would serve as a lyric with the appropriate music to your taste.

A penny for my thought? It wouldn't take much ink in this keyboard case. But I hope that you get 12 pens of ink worth of good keyboard remarks from other people too about this poem.

Pete
