My hard drive is 160GB
i have only 10% of the 160GB, or ~15GB left.

I have deleted every file i can think of my music, videos, movies, pictures, many programs, Recycle Bin, etc

First off, I'm pretty sure i deleted more then ~15GB So what the heck is wrong with my computer? or what is taking up all the space?

Also, how can i fix this problem i am having?

I've looked all over the internet, and searching isn't to much fun since its having issues, etc

Advice....

First off, download, instal and run CCleaner which is a well known free disc cleaner which can get rid of many unnecessary files which you will not miss.

Secondly, try another free program called Disc Mapper This is not as pretty as SequoiaView mentioned by Lucid above but does a similar job. This analyses any of your discs and then generates a scematic showing directories and files by space occupied in a better way than the usual pie chart programs.
This allows you to see the space hoggers which you may no longer need and can decide to remove (watch out for system programs though)!.

The obvious third option is to fit an extra hard disc (very easy to do, because the cabling usually already exists and it just needs screwing in and connecting up as a slave drive).

i downloaded them, but there is still hardly any space on my hard drive, and i have such little content
its up to 15% free space now
... seems like it has some sort of issue determining how much space is actually being used on the hard drive maybe?

Its Windows XP if that matters..
how much room does that take up?

XP takes up about 2 GBs

With 158Gigs being 'lost' I would suggest that the next thing to do is run checkdisc.

Using the built in file browser (Exolorer) right click on your system disc.
Click on Properties.
Click on Tools.
Select Error checking.

choose to fix errors and confirm you want to check the disc.
From what I remember it usually requires a reboot and checkdisc functions during the next boot up - it takes a few minutes depending on your processor and memory speed.
This should find and fix any disc errors you may have.

Look if you still don't know what is wrong with your computer, chances are you might be infected by some kind of virus, worm or trojan that takes up so much disk space. If you are using XP, try system restore. If that does not work.. there is still one option you can do.

1. Backup your files
2. Reformat your hard drive.
3. Install OS, then install an antivirus - update it immediately.
4. Install your softwares
5. Copy your backup.

what u can do is make it so that u can see the hidden files and delate what u dont want and need

the measures you should take:
download ccleaner type softs
check virtual space
check cache
defrag the hdd
check page file
there are lots of solution available in the google i just found out, google it you will be able to fix it in notime.

you can either perform a full format to your hard drive or simply consider scanning for viruses
