This was the first time, after the last time we kissed,
And I’ve still got that spark; it’s flowing through my veins.

This was the first time, after the last time we touched,
And electricity still buzzes through my head.

This was the first time after the last time you said you loved me.
And I still find myself surprised when my pulse quickens.

You’ve still got your hold on me, but I’m not complaining anymore.
This is the first time, after the last time, I was reminded of how
Much I still need you.

Yup. You've got it.

That's what it's like.

Well, enjoy it while you can. God bless you.

Good poem, very good poem, and true; the descriptive observation is well-drawn, and readers can relate intimately from their own experiences, whether happy or unhappy.

Keep writing. There is meaning to be found in writing poetry, or else I wouldn't still be here in this crazy life after all these ridiculous years. Either that or I'm just a damned fool (and that's entirely possible).

Peace.

What a beautiful, passionate, ...and again...refreshing write! You really have some God-given talent. Your writes are very engaging. I am a fan!

Kevin's right, and he knows his poetry too; he's a fantastic poet himself.

I'm a fan too.
