THE LIFE , ULTIMATE

I‘ve a flair for poetry
Reading volumes
And writing hundreds
Didn’t satisfy my soul

I’ve a fancy for dressing
Wearing full, half sleeves
T shirts with various colours and designs
didn’t satiate my taste

I ‘ve a caring for health
Eating only after verifying nutrition facts
And ignoring other foods
Didn’t stop bulging of my medical test

I’ve a hobby of loving
My gardening flora
And tending of pet fauna
Didn’t make my retired life happier

I’ve obedience towards deities
My daily chants of HIS GRACEFUL names
And eulogizing his greatness
Made me comfortable and contended all the time.

Snow Drapes

Snow flakes
On the nude trees
Capping the shaves of autumn leaves

Snow flakes
On the maple tons
Crowning glory on oxy plants

Snow flakes
On resident roofs
Painting white glitters aloft

Snow flakes
On the travel cars
Thanks giving in gracious lots

Snow flakes
In the shopping malls
‘Sales’ seasons’ up graph stakes

Why?

Why?
The river flows
The wind blows
The moon beams

Why?

The koel sings
The spring trims
The autumn strings
The winter chills
The summer sweats

All believe me
To eulogise
The embodiment of love
only my beloved

The sky is BLACK

The sky
Turned black
From the blue tint

All the organism
Felt joyous

The dried grass
Withering crops
Thirsty towns
Rose their necks

The clouds
Invoked
The lightnings
And thunders too

Some insects
Fly high
Singing
Welcoming tunes

The earthy mud
Blew the fragrance
Specific
Like camphor weaves

The nature
Clasped the moments
With picturesque beauty
In its hearty cam

The nectar
From the heavens
Started drizzling
The joy knew no bounds

Plants
Humans
Living creatures
Wet their hopes.

Ode to The oblivion

The rhymes
We sung rhythmically
in our nursery schools

The games
we played systematically
in our childhood days

The comic sprays
we enjoyed euphemistically
in youth full moons

The repartees
we resonated etymologically
in middle age blues

Where did they go?

All the family fetes
We entertained delightfully
In week ends and holidays

Get togethers
At servings sumptuously
on dining tables

Where did they go
Tv’s music systems
Swayed them away to corner slots
Making our prime time tunes
Go awry in the present trends

Love, the cupids bow

When eyes
Wink during day times
Preserving nights
To dreaming galores

When heart
Leaves the dwelling place
With pace on free motor ways
To a destiny unknown

When the words
Start faltering many a time
During the chats
In e- mail cubes

You are at no fault my dear!
The love has spread the fragrance sprays
To all the corners in the space
Love wins even when crests fall beloved!

Grandeur

I love him
He loves me in abundance

He hugs me
I hug him in lots

I smile at him
He delivers in hundreds

I adore him
He adorns me

I oblige him
He obeys me

I am older
He is a new born

I am his grand pa
He is my grandeur

Consultation

When ever I meet a doctor
He reels out health care tips
To contain my prescribed nuances

I usually bother about my body and its health
But in my day time routine jaunts
I take junk food with no option ahead

When after dusk
I resort to my dinner times
I carefully verify
The nutrition facts of
The packets and cut them and preserve

After having sumptuous puddings over night
I owe a lot to the doctor
And swear on him
To follow his directions from the next day
Which has never come till date.

Listener’s choice

A poem is
An octave of music
An anecdote from classic
A roget’s thesaurus
A reader’s win
A stranger’s spin
A listener’s choice
