life dosn't belong to you
it's something for you to walk into
or out of
to run through or walk through or float through
to embrace
or crumple up and throw aside
it's there for you
but it's not yours

life is time
and time is infinite
but your body is not
so for the brief flicker of the universe that is an eternity to you
feed the flame
so that it will burn on after you're gone
or leave it stagnate for someone else to feed
or stomp it out so that the world will be that less illuminated after you leave
but the ashes will be left behind
matter and everything that matters can neither be created nor destroyed
so stop trying to create it or destroy it
