When there is a small cut
on your little finger
we rushed you to the clinic

When you had a slight injury
on the head done by your classmate
we quarreled with her parents


When you have minor wounds
on your learning in absentia of an expert
we kept you away from the self-drives

But now when you have broad cut
doctored by the surgeons
only to welcome the new born babe
how can we curse others?

We continue to eulogise
the blessings of GOD
for making all of us happy
as best administrator of things on time
