i'm in a band and we're looking for a bassist. right now our two choices are a guy named vince who's a really good bassist but not reliable at all. the other choice is a guy named greg who's really reliable but not half as good of a player as vince. what do you think is a better trait for someone in a band, talent or reliability?

Hey,
I just read your request.
Talent is a huge factor when considering anyone for any position.
But if they can't be depended on thier talent is only a liability.
The one who has only half the talent can be molded and encouraged and grown to fit like a glove the rest of the band.
Even more important than immediate talent is the heart and the desire to learn, evolve and grow into the needs of the band.
Until...
