Nintendo Blues

Just Sitting At Home Not So Long Ago
Me And My Hubby Were Bored In Our Humble Abode
When I Turned To Him And He Looked At Me
I Said Hey Baby I Know Just What We Need
What's That He Said With A Smile On His Face
We Need Something Different Like A Video Game
So We Bought Our First Nintendo
And Life Was Just Not The Same

We Got A Few Games , Damn They Cost So Much
Like Karnove, Spelunker's, And One Called Gradious
Deadly Towers, And Goonies Ii, Castle-vania
And Exitabike Too.
With All Of These We'd Have Plenty To Do.

The Only Problem With This I Found
Was He Caught That Damn Fever
And Now I Am Feeling Down
You See We Stay Home Now Much Of The Time
Watching Him Play His Games
Until He Goes Blind

And God If He Asks If I Mind
When He Plays That Stuff
He'll Cop An Attitude And Stomp Off In A Huff
I Want To See A Movie Once In A While Instead
But Try To Tell Him When His Head Is Full Of Lead

Oh Come On Baby Just Sit Down And Watch
I Can Beat Everybody No I've Never Lost
It's No Wonder I Said As He Turned To See
You Spend All Your Time In Front Of That Damn T.v.

So If He Goes On And I Mean It Too
I'm Gonna Get Upset And He Knows It's True
I Might Hide His Paddles
But He Will Find Them I Though
You Know Right Now
I Hate That Game
Of Nintendo!!!!!!

This is a fresh and, dare I say, humorous read.

Thank you for this new spin on poetry.
I like it.
