her far away stare
gets her out of there
she wouldn't dare
wouldn't dare walk out that door

her razor scarred wrists
hide behind bracelets
thats her crazy style
when she cries she sort of smiles

take me far from nowhere
i want to rescue her
but i've been there and back before
i can't make her walk out the door

cigarette burns
she never learns
her far away stare
gets her out of there

nobody could tell
if only they could hear her yell
if only they could hear her scream
or see her face trapped in a daydream

a place she'll never go
a place she'll never ever know
a place she's never been before
she wouldn't dare walk out the door

This is a really great poem. It opens up the imagination and explores in such depth, of the human spirit.

Great read.
