Transcendental Sonnet #1127:
Torn in Two / Restored

for Silke

We just wanted it to end
To shrink to disappear
No matter how close no friend
Could understand the fear

The unworthiness the sin
Of being us in here
In the skin which we were in

To simply fade away
To nothingness was our goal
To bleed away the curse
Of blood and empty be made whole
But never better... only worse

At the last moment you found me and I found you
One heart restored again which had been torn in two

A profound rebirth. Hope all is well. Read it and liked it.

Thank you, my friend.

While you were reading it, I was refining lines 11 and 12; I hope I made them stronger and clearer...

I appreciate your intelligent reading of this board, and your continuing interest in my work.
