By: Nichola Cordato
A pure soul burnt to the core
A remorseful being that can’t take it any more
A tragically and brutally broken mess of a life
A misunderstood girl whose days are filled with strife
A sad lost story whose last kiss won’t tell
A crippled existence mutilated in hell
A shattered appearance of the misplaced identity
A crying plea for a second of serenity
A nothing for everything to mention
A sadness buried in its own tension
A curious mind but limited heart
A busted future not playing its part
A family disappearing in its anger
A friend with a dis-honest hunger
A devastated past, that will only haunt its future
A dying presence that only allows its torture
A cold despise of the injured carcass
A possible break of the minds surface
An injected poison to make you feel the pain
A damaged shelter letting in the rain
An undiscovered end that is obviously close
An undiscovered love that evidently grows
A price for the affection I was fed
An Eerie laughter of the awkward moments I bled

This is a very good poem.
I'm not a great fan of the 'dark' genre, as it doesn't really relate to my own experience of life. I guess I've had it good. I could ignore this poem and let it pass without comment, but I hope my comment is given added weight by the fact that as stated above, it is not really my bag.
This is a very good piece of work. Well done.

I could never had said anything like this, remotely as well as you have here, dear.
My thoughts, but lack the grammar, your words, leaves me, ennamered.
Blessed Be!

You are welcome, hon, but you don't really need improvement, as I see it.
Your writes are raw and pure, and that's what gives them the validity they deserve.
You have power in your words, and I find myself grateful for the opportunity to read them.
Blessed Be!

Hi Nika!
I'm so happy you are still here.
Don't leave us, ever; let this be a safe place for you. Let it be home.
There are some strange people who say strange things, quite so, but you and I are not among them. I always enjoy your poetry, I thank you for sharing it with us here, and I am glad to have you with us.

I forgot to mention that I like your poll you posted. Polls are always interesting, and that one particularly so. I will be very much interested in the results. I think you did a good job of constructing it.
I'm glad to hear that you won't ever leave. I won't either.
