Haiku requires three lines as follows: 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables. Does it remain as Haiku when splitting one of the lines into two, even if, overall, it is syllablically (wow, say that!) correct? Maybe Rick should comment. Or Jasper???

hi I don't understand the haiku thing I ama beginner in poetry but I want to learn more thanks, my questionis. it is haiku ifit has 5, 7 &5 syllubles or something?
what and how does that make it ahaiku?
