So many times it's tried
To give the soul vocabulary
With fruitless avail
but how to say "You ment the world to me"
without sounding stale?

As Dearly as I love everything I love..
it pales in comparison to the way I loved You.

The depths of the ocean are expansive
yet when held against space are minut
but together they fall short in comparison to the way I loved you

Was sipping heaven like champagne, and it intoxicated
Numbing the senses and delaying reaction
Fell into a beautiful sleep and had a beautiful dream

Now abandoned
Listening to the throbbing beat of my own heart
Resinating in my temples

The intoxication of yesterday's love
Today's hang over
There isn't asprin enough in all this world
To take the pain away

Jasper
I know your I's too and very very well P, but asprin doesn't fix your tears?
Love as always for so much intoxicating beauty !

Love Jasper

I'm really getting into your poetry penguin. If I were to pick a football team of poets from this site, you'd be in it. What position should we put you in? You strike me as a deft little winger. Never mind if you don't play. You'd be very good at passing round the organges at half time.

This poem is a metaphorical delight. And do you know what the best bit is for me. Sorry Jasper, but it's the aspirin at the end. I mean! We're talking hangover's here aren't we. I always keep a bottle handy.

I dont drink but have you ever thought what you hang over when you "hang over" ?

thanks for sharing this misty lol

but seriously i also think..

there aren't seas enough in all this world
to drown our pain away.
