More than Friends

Is that really you
Just how long has it been
come inside
have a seat
can you stay?
Who would believe
In a Million years
We'd be both sitting here
Trading stories of yesterday
Do you remember the time
We went down to the beach
Your car got stuck in the sand
We were both pretty high
There were stars in the sky
Like diamonds that glistened so bright
The moon was full the air so cold
Yes what a magical Night
We were friends at that time
And I know that you cared
In a way that only you could
Always up front and honest
Knowing inside how we felt
Just sitting not saying a word
You kept looking at me
With a smile on your face
With a glance turned into a stare
For the first time I knew
Having feelings for you
They caught me so unaware
The confusion set in
Was it all in my head
No I did not know what to do
The panic set in
I was thinking of him
But the feelings I had were for you
Then you held out your hand
We became more than friends
On the beach
Faced with the truth
That I wanted you too
These Emotions were new
Making Memories we'd never forget
Even though I was married
I knew in my heart
We did nothing that we would regret'

I've been there. If I didn't know better, I'd swear you'd written that about me. I recognise all the scenes.

A worthwhile read.

I'm not married, but I know vaguely what this feels like. Keep writing from your heart, Jeannoh; it's the best place for creation.
