Despair

It will slowly devour our souls.
Look away, look beyond
Your misty charcoal-gray eyes have been damaged
by a thousand twisted souls;
within you they cry for help.

Look away, look beyond
The trustworthy people turn away from the bleeding
can't stand seeing them down;
on the surface of your hips, they die.

Look away, look beyond
Your greasy hazel-brown hair flows through the currents of the wind,
dancing like a million soldiers under fire;
the holes in their bodies speckle your abdomen.

Look away, look beyond
The meaning of life is almost in your reach, elusive
you can almost grab it with your quivering hand;
their lonely, plagued nights are buried in your mind.

You took their pride.
You took their decency.
Despair.

This is very atomic!
I'd love to help your BLUE with it over that burning Grey Bush's BAG in good old dixie DAD's land, to save all the precious RED's of pixies!

If they don't get this one they're beyond rifle scope range as it would wake the dead....... and HAS!

Sic em REX!

This is really a good one, my love; it breaks new ground, makes new paths. You are growing always as a poet and as a person, as I hope I am too.

The repeated line

"Look away, look beyond"

is hauntingly effective.

I savor the elusive nature of this poem, its enigmatic quality.

I miss you...

Do you miss me?

We will be together soon. Happy Hallowe'en Anniversary, my love.

You are everything to me.
