Wilted roses of a lovers past
adorn the once gleaming snow
on which an awful spell was cast
upon a rivals angered foe

What was once able to be seen
shall be gone forevermore
hidden behind the shining gleam
of the persons very core

To take it back will be hard
one must find the key
to open the door and find the shard
to quench the lovers silent plea

And once one does so
the mind shall be free
to express the love for the foe
in anyway they wish to see

This is good, but I can't get my head round finding a shard to quench a lover's silent plea. A shard is a piece of broken glass or artifact yeh? So a weapon? An instrument with which to stab the foe? Revenge? Once the foe is avenged, then the mind is free to love him/her in any way they wish? Is that it?
