Transcendental Sonnet #1079:
To Surf My Destiny
A Midlife Manifesto
At midpoint of life a prodigious age
My spectacles are now necessity
Not merely fashionable all the rage
But such inevitable part of me
That lacking these I can no longer see
My teeth are my own and may Christ atone
For sundry indiscretions of my youth
I stand here halfway through a century
At this existential moment of truth
I cannot complain I need not explain
Cogito ergo sum and glad to be
Glad to be here at last at this late hour
To ride the tide to surf my destiny
I now embrace my time! My prime! My power!

A great sonnet!

Thank you for your wise words, my love, and thank you with all my heart for loving me, at this late hour.
You are everything to me.
