Stormy weather brought ships to shore
waved them in before their sinking
nightmare to think they’d wash away.
Dreamy thinks we’d n’er meet
slumber made for inability
Eyes peeled back and wide awake
still I missed you pass between
my drowsy thoughts had lost attention
hoping you’ll return again.
Utterance escapes to catch a glimpse
an echo wisped through day’s dew mist
above ground covering daily grind
mind my frenzy now behind.
Watch words roll in from twisted tongues
sounds exposed from compressed lungs
reverberate the longing wants
uplift the anchor to float above.

OOOO! Very surreal!

"Watch words roll in from twisted tongues
sounds exposed from compressed lungs
reverberate the longing wants
uplift the anchor to float above. "

Gave me chills!
