Dana has just made a special friend
to play and laugh at her every whim.
What's better than all day with Samuel?
Or is that still his name? Maybe Daniel...

It's like a secret, they have so much fun
chasing down ideas while keeping on the roam;
all life is a thrill while under the sun.
Then moon beams bring his thrilling stories home

curled under blankets, flashlit reading books.
When sent to bed, somehow his funny looks
dad never minds or really even sees.
How does he get away with these?

"Come in the kitchen, please," Dana is tasked
"Is Samuel with you?" Her mom then asks.
"STANIEL was right here, but now he's gone.
Hey, Mom: Did I ever tell you where he's from?"

"Dana, never mind. Look, about your friend:
Your dad and I believe it's time this end.
Go on and say good-bye; for time will show
real friends are much more fun, didn't you know?"
Hey Hey
Nice story in verse. Changing line pace and changing rhyme lines certainly keeps the reader on their toes.

Nice! Very like a nursery rhyme! This could be a children's book....No, really! Very well done.

homework and kids
school, play, and chores.

When she's busy, she can't feel
the hole inside, in silence gnawing
at her heart when she lies still,
missing whom to her was real.

"It's for the best" she tries to say
when at last to assauge the pain.
"Were it so good, it'd feel that way,"
