I remember. . .

I remember fluttering wings
Black as night they flew
Bats, I hide
Under my blankets
Dad chases it out
Smash!

I remember. . .

I remember an annoying canter
“Can I use this? Can I have that?”
Sisters, I poke
Her in the side
Tickling her
Giggle!

I remember. . .

I remember a streak of black and white
Furry and soft he was
Peppermint, my cat
He was loving
And soft
Purr!

I remember . . .

I remember blue bunny outfit
Old and used she was
Jenny, my favorite
Baby doll, Mom
Giving her away
Gone!

I remember. . .

I remember crunching gravel
The car driving, lush grass
Campground, I watched
Fireworks as the shot
Off into the night sky
Bang!

I remember. . .

I remember. . .

I remember. . .

I really like this one a lot. It's very evocative, and makes my own mind flood with memories like these.

Thank you for creating this magical poem and sharing it with us here upon these pages.

This is a real favorite of mine.
