This "Robert the Bruce" person spammed many web sites and news & message boards with false and defaming information about the International Space Agency and our many Efforts Globally.
He used coded words like big brother in his posts, which has led me, and other ISA staff, to believe he was in fact a "big brother" disinformation agent plying his/her trade to unsuspecting citizens on message boards like this.
The game these evil people play, is that they sling massive amounts of false, untrue, and slanderous information around, and count on the fact that 80% of the public are naive and hungry for gossip and smut. Sad but true!
Sling %$# on people, and it sticks, people love &^%! Again, sad but true!
The entire U.S. Media and Political System thrives on this type of covert and secret society ^&%$! It sells, makes people rich and powerful, and keeps the other 90% of the population tearing each others eyes out, and or totally clueless to reality, other than what is spoon fed to them!
If you don't believe me, a recent street poll asked people what the Sun was?
36% said a star, 22% said a planet, 17% did not know, 7% said a moon, and 18% said it was the sun?! :-)
The most notable and obvious thing in human existence, and only a mere 36% of the population of Joe Citizen on the street knew the answer? Very sad indeed!
Powerful elites and secret societies count on, and capitalize on this human fault and naivety, to control and manipulate society and people to their every whim.
If you tell enough people, and enough times, that %^$ is very good to eat and is healthy for you. People will gobble down %^$ with a smile on their face, and be begging for more!
This "Robert the Bruce" was out peddling &^%, and people were eating it like candy!
Anyway, my venting of logic and common sence for the day!
It will go over the head of 60% of the people anyway, and 30% of the secret society attack dogs will start a flame war to get this topic censored, and the 10% of people who do get it are usually powerless to do anything about it!

I don't think many people took RTB's posts seriously since he was not able to back up his claims and became indignant if you asked for any proof or references.

Most people here took RTB's posts with a grain of salt. It didn't help his cause that he refused to back-up any of his claims and personally attacked people who questioned him.
Similarly, I take you street poll about only 36% of people knowing what the Sun is with a grain of salt. I suppose if you sample enough streets, you're bound to run into a few samples with such low percentages, but this says nothing about the population at large. The poll would be more convincing if it were a Gallop (?) poll instead of just a street poll.
I think few people believe in the secret society nonsense that RTB was pushing, and that the best way to inform society is to make it more connected and to make information freely available to everyone. That's what the internet is about, and that's what peer-to-peer networks are about, and it's working very well in my opinion.

I agree with 'unknown'; RTB doesn't exactly have much credibility around here
but Jay Leno and Howard Stern are just entertainment whose job it is to make us laugh. Few people actually take them seriously. About the Leno street interviews, they probably interview dozens or hundreds of people to come up with a few ridiculous ones that they show the public. The people's answers in such interviews are ridiculous, but they are not representative of the public at large or for that matter even a significant percentage of the public.
