Thinking now about my future in the past
Yesterday's future thoughts were wrong
I don't like my past the way it was
I don't like the way my future turned out

Travelling slowly with my thoughts on this fast train
Thinking quickly about the slowness of time
Slowing down my thoughts as the fast train speeds up
Catching up with my thoughts by the end of the journey

Seeing tonight's moon alongside yesterday's star
Tomorrow, yesterdays star will be alongside today's moon
When the moon has gone many of yesterday's stars will still be here
When yesterday's stars have gone my past and future will still be here
