Transcendental Sonnet #1065:
2 November 2004

The unelected dries up in the sun
Melts like a vampire in the light of day
Though in the slanted autumn light begun
The light of promise offers hope's array
That autumn spring that winter summer bloom

Go back to the black gloom of the back room
Whence you emerged and lie to us no more
May you learn what democracy means now:
We rise from the floor we show you the door

Now may our people overcome somehow
The swagger of your cynical deceit
To fight with all our might each day each night
Till we have humbled you in fair defeat
Your fall our spring as we bring back the light

Well done Steven. Rhyme the bastard out of office. And think of us here in Britain, puppets in the hands of a poodle, without a chance to vote.
Hey Hey
This is a magnificant sonnet actually. For its content, not just the content. Get it?
