Hey Hey
White and Blue

My love a schoolgirl, white and blue
I knew back then it would be you
We lived but less than mile apart
But took too long to exchange heart

We passed with every passing day
Seeing, though living lives away
But glances knew that special thing
With every one the world would sing

As lives walked down the winding course
And other lovers brought remorse
For chance by side we came therein
We looked our eyes so deeply in

The blending of our hearts came fast
To realise what waste the past
And still in time our union made
Afore life's curtain was to fade

Reflecting on that love sojourn
A message clear, a lesson learn
When hearts so obviously behold
Seize now and make that action bold

For time lost is not time at all
So hearing then accept the call
And take a life of fullness with
The one, to cherish her…and live

Oh, this really is beautiful, dear B, and beautifully written. So heartfelt. I imagine it's a hit at home. I am happy to tell you that Silke liked my latest; I wish you the same happy experience of sharing, and I know you will have it--are having it--with this fine poem. You write well of love, good strong and dependable love, solid love upon which one may depend, no matter what. I think that's what everyone is looking for, and what we have found.

Thinking of that makes me want to never be depressed again, that I am so fortunate to have someone who loves me so.

How fortunate we are, my friend. And we have each other's friendship too. We could be filthy rich and miserable! This is much better; we have what everybody wants but cannot buy.
