Mosquito Blood(Oh yes!...I hate those creatures!Grrrrr.....)

Blood on the sheets, blood on the wall,
blood on the ceiling, covering all.
I hit you and kill you, but still on you come.
So many small spaces that you could be from.
I curse you. Your life means so little to me.
Come, now feel my anger. My blood lies in thee.

I hate mosquitos too; they are tiny vampires which sound rather like diminutive Stuka dive-bombers. Also, they are carriers of encephalitis, which disease has done me no favors, although the form they carry is less serious than that which I experienced. In any case, one's blood ought to remain one's own; it's bad enough when they want some in the hospital or at the doctor (not that phlebotomists are mosquitos, but there is some parallel, daresay).

Thank you for creating and sharing this, dear wife; it's good to see you hereabouts again. I love you (but hate mosquitos).

I too am mosquito phobic. They love me, but as hard as I try I cannot return their affections.

Interesting that you have them up in York Hey. Are they becoming more endimic in this countrry, do you think? I'm sure there never used to be so many. And the little buggers are starting to bite, like their continental cousins. Is it global warming? One bit me on the face the other night.

Can anyone tell me what purpose they serve. Are they a necessary part of the eco-system? Should they be given the same respect as Shawn' squirrel, for example?

I'm all down with squashing 'em , thank your for sharing in the frustrations hehe, I was in the mountains the past weekend too, I took a little bit home with me in the bites though, so I can guess why I am scratching I can thank God for the awesome time I had ....
