At first, I didn't think anyone was going to reply.

I was always facinated with acronym poems,
remember Lewis Carrols?

The dynamics of your poem are enigmatic;
the brevity of the verses draw the reader into an expansive vista.

I once wrote a acronym poem for a girl I was dating,
the poem was very romantic,
the acronym spelled her first name,
except for one letter.

(Lorraine has two "r's" did you know that?)

She was too nice to tell me then,
we're still friends.

Thank you, Shawn R, for the comment. This is probably my fourth acronym I've written...the other ones were from elementary school, ha! It's nice how you reply with such relation and honesty. I very much appreciate it.

That girl, I am so sorry I didn't reply sooner! I was depressed, utterly incapacitated by depression. In fact, I am missing a doctor's appointment right now--I will walk in on Monday--just to try to come back to the poetry board here, just to try to face my fears and be the Poet in Residence again. I love acronyms, and I have written them myself. You inspire me to try it again, too.

I gather from your writings that you understand suffering, and I cherish that understanding. My wife and I have suffered--do suffer--so much, and we have been hurt so much; lately we have been hurt so much here. What did we do? But then, hate never really has a reason, just like love, I guess... I was trying to make sense of all this in a reply to Nika, about how there are just some people who are like little storms of anger going through life, hurting. Little hurricanes, unfocused, nonspecific; but sometimes they fasten and focus on someone or something and then there is a rape, a murder, an attack. I am all messed-up in my mind by a flamer who has been stalking my wife and me, even going to my book site and giving me the worst possible ratings without reading my books. On one book, my first, I have like twenty-six highest ratings--three thumbs-ups--including one from my doctor (who is forgiving me for being "too sick" to keep my appointment today), but the flamer was able to lower the rating to just two thumbs-up just by her actions. And maybe with "sock-puppets" or even a deranged friend, who knows.

In any case, I want to extend my unbreakable solidarity to you, and ask you to be a part of our family. Help us. Struggle against the darkness with us. We need you.

I truly thank you for replying. I didn't mean to sound aggravated by the lack of replies. I am probably a little frustrated myself. I understand your situation and I honestly hope everything goes well. I'm sure jealousy and immaturity is the factor behind their actions which obviously cannot be tolerated. You should know that your work is inspiring and I am grateful of your welcoming character. Your words are so pure and forgiving they speak to me.
