Hey Hey
Smoking Chimneys

Space between the leaves gets bigger
Morning rise starts with a shiver
Distant clouds are low in sky
Bird choir songs all ask why
Rainbow borders turning green
Hedgerow brambles looking mean
Hazelnut caskets fall to ground
Night time sparkles with no sound
Rose red cheeks in search of cheer
Smoking chimneys, autumn is here

I very much got a sense of outside in this poem. The scents, the sounds, the feel of a fallen leaf brushing against my arm, all from the visual cues written here. Wonderful.
