The night
The Leonard Cohen
The warm Cognac
The flickering soft lamp
The caressing
The holding
The you

The lapping beach sounds
The cracking embers
The soft sand
The full sky
The whispering
The breathing
It's true

The dancing
The yielding waist
The cheek on cheek
The smell of hair
The no-one else
The moment now

Good job with the structure; your experiment is successful.

The you

It's true

The yes, do

Every word tells, because every word shows.

I see this as another breakthrough poem, another milestone along the way of your opening.

It is like my T. S. #1024 last night. I must write another like that today.

You are really growing by leaps and bounds! I am so happy to see you unfold like the lotus!

Let yourself be happy too because of this.

Mit Fluegeln, die ich mir errungen,
in heissem Liebesstreben,
werd' ich entschweben
zum Licht, zu dem kein Aug' gedrungen!

Read these words, above, and GET 'em!

...and listen to the Mahler Second Symphony, the Resurrection. Silke and I call that "our song." I think it can be your song too.

Aufersteh'n!

*sigh* This is lovely. I'm such a hopeless romantic. Conversely, I don't trust most men. ....That doesn't really make sense.... rolleyes.gif

Believe me when I say that this was felt...Every second of it.

Hey Hey
Dear Megan

I'm sure you're right not to trust most men! I recommend that you keep your suspicions! However, in this day and age the ladies also need your careful eye.

Romance - yes, that's my preference too. But you have to look hard to find it or work hard to create it. Keeping looking though dear Megan, because the nice feelings it brings are worth it.
