Hey Hey
I lost my past today

I lost my past today
The last one went away
The distances too far
My warm and gentle star

The message came abrupt
My day to interrupt
My smiles had just set in
Now conscience full of sin

My darling kith in grief
Explained it was relief
Her voice it broke in vain
Could not hold back her pain

No more remain to hold
A generation left in cold
But no, the next is here
Console, allay my fear

Whatever words to say
The ache is here to stay
Hope closest can be brave
Take comfort round the grave
