The Longest Year
In honor of those who fell that bitter September morn'.
Time binds the grievous tear
with freedom still this morning clear.
Steadfast hold to our treasured life
beyond the fear of terror's strife.
With heads held high we march the field
with Patriot heroes who refused to yield
to honor those who fell that morn'
with dragon's breath in justice borne.
We stand united in our brethren's cry
for fire's resolve in your thundering sky.
This solemn mile of war torn road
we grievously carry the mournful load.
But, mistake not the lamenting free
for victory's report to the enemy.
For, while we mourne the hero's soul
Retribution's bell does soundly toll.

I look at this and wonder why this recieved no response, especially since the anniversary of this fateful day has just recently passed.
But to answer myself in this questioning, I wonder if it's not due to many people feeling the loss so hard, they just want to forget, or that, since many are at odds with Prez Bush's way of doing things, or simply, because no one wants to think on this, any more... Who knows for sure? But my comments are not open for debate, this is just merely my observations in light of my comments to this write. Which are these:
This is a gentle poignant write, one of a part of history, no one American should rightfully forget.
This being the awesome and heartfelt tribute this is, I can not find fault with this, for I know that many share your veiws, sentiments, and sympathies for the victims and thier families, for all of the United States and it's citizen's and occupants were victims that day.
A magnificent tribute, Kevo.
Blessed Be!

Aiyana,
Thanks so much for such compliments I was not prepared for. 9/11 Touched me as much as anyone. I am a devout patriot and felt a wealth of inspiration to write about our tragedy, our fallen heroes, unity, and our steel resolve. I suppose I, like this country we live in, have never been a doormat and that fueled a lot of my writing on this issue. I am glad that it touched you, seemingly as much as it touched me when I wrote it. Your words mean a lot to me. Thank you for replying.
