-The Reply-

I eagerly settle in my oversized chair,
My junior stature lost in its hug
I'm reinvented by submitting a few words
And nimbly wait for a comment of
Such printed concern
That plagues my eyes
I read and overread
Till my reaction subsides...

I like this.
It's beautiful, short, and very sweet.

How sweet!

This is a delightful little poem, and, if my words mean anything to you, you certainly can take this reply of mine as a vote of confidence.

I hope you will be encouraged. I forget what it is like to be young sometimes, and how much replies mean... You know, actually, they mean just as much to me, even now, if I really stop and think of it.

I will try to do better with replies. I have deputized a few helpers, and they will be replying as well.

At the moment, I am off to post Transcendental Sonnet #983, so Silke will see it when she gets up in the morning (soon, where she is).

And I must admit that my spirits sagged a little when I came online and saw that no one had yet replied to my very heartfelt #982, "Beslan."

Thank you for reminding me how important expressed appreciation is, especially to those of us who make things and try to make the world better with them.

I send you lots of support and solidarity. I wish you every happiness, every success.

Never give up, my young friend. Never.

perfect master of reply
deep hugged in soft recline
awaiting what none can deny
sweet strokes we deign decline

the tug upon your thread just now
was me, just peering through
to glimpse the wonder words endow
when stickied down with glue... HUH???

This is a beauty! A true gem. It's so visual. You convey the feeling so well I can almost feel the fabric hugging me as I get comfortable. Well done!

Thank you all. *Curtseys*. I appreciate your comments. I whipped this one up really fast so of course I am skeptic about it. And Mark, I really liked the way you worded the poem...such talent!

Er. I'm not sure if I will be posting any new poems soon...ha...maybe this weekend. I dono. blink.gif
