Transcendental Sonnet #977:
*~Flow Soft Sweet Moon~*

for Silke

Flow soft sweet moon and carry my Silke to me
On the last breath of summer do me this favor
Ride the tide and carry my bride over the sea
On the last breath of night-blooming jasmine's savor

Beam down your gleam upon her draw her up that she
Be borne aloft into the soft blue velvet sky
To be transported on a love-dream blissfully
Caress her safe to float and bless her safe to fly
Away up high through warm night sky oh why not let it be?
Flow soft sweet moon I ask you in the name of ecstasy

Old rakish moon you old buffoon we are the best of friends
Carry her like a hot-air balloon and bring her to me
You know me well enough by now I have no selfish ends
I only ask her wish be granted her sweet destiny

Beautiful...just beautiful.....

Wolken ziehen auf, von Zeit zu Zeit - sie bringen die Chance, ein wenig auszuruhen von der Betrachtung des Mondes......

I love you too, my dearest darling little girl, with all my heart forever and ever.

I am so happy that you like this sonnet! I wrote it especially for you.

As you know, I would have been dead two years ago were it not for you, and none of this would have ever been written. While some would have preferred that outcome, you and Kevin at least seem to enjoy these things, so I will keep on making them, and I will keep on living.

What the hell; why not? I think I'll write thousands of 'em, and try to get really good at it. And I think I'll live to be an old, old, kind and helpful Mr. Chips of a poet, who might just be able to do a little bit of good here at the end of time, in this twittering world at twilight.
