Hey Hey
To Save a God

Running with legs too tired to walk
Shouting with a voice too hoarse to whisper
Glaring with eyes too sore to sleep
Fighting with arms to weak to embrace
Remembering with mind confused by grief
Devouring with a gut consumed by anguish
Working with a will determined to die
Consoling with a leaking heart
Building when there is no time to quench a thirst
Wondering why children must die to save a god

People in Beslan, I am so sorry

That tragedy is beyond words.

Yours captured it as well as it could have been done.

I'd have to think idiot terrorists do nothing but damn their own cause in the world's eyes when they brutalize children.
Hey Hey
I should maybe have indicated that the lines might be about the parents and how they felt. Trouble is, I have no concept as to how they felt and feel. But I can feel my own sorrow for what has happened and hope this might never happen again. I also feel sorry and guilty and I can't explain why at this time.
Mark W Ballard
you may have heard about the mother who was given a choice of which of her 2 children to save - and the other died. My God, talk about man's inhumanity to man.
