Digression (aka Stopped to Look at the Stars)
A Plane flew over the moon tonight and the moon stayed halved
I was supported by a bridge of stars that had been aligned to aid my progress
In understanding sh*t sent my way by the ants who push the world 'round
And daylight will emerge soon to hide my new found friends, so listen
Often time is short and problems hard to solve without help from people in planes
Digression is interesting and life is too short to keep on track
The stars can keep that track for others
Meanwhile the bridge has moved and the plane has gone, leaving a vapour trail
That reminds me of a temporary solution
The ant controller could be watching, so not too much criticism, or trouble
For me will be trouble for the world; cause and effect, small effect, great effect
Noticed the music in my ears again; that's why I couldn't hear the plane, but the moon and stars were silent anyway, I think
Like the ants, like the world moving, like the vapour, like this thought to you
The friends cling to nightlife, moving with the beat of the system
It's no mean feat to keep the beat, with ant's feet
Where's the day, where's the way
Here's the noise
