Transcendental Sonnet #960:
Where Dreams Begin
for Silke
You and me in a field of clover
Silke that is where I want to be
Embracing as the clouds drift over
You and me happy and safe and free
Cradled in sweet clover watching clouds
You and me to see what we can see
Liberated from the dark which crowds
In the shadows of the waking mind
Daydreaming we leave them all behind
As magic hours bloom into magic days
I kiss your closed eyes as your lashes brush
My lips so eager for your tender skin
And as I softly weep you tell me "hush...
This is reality where dreams begin"

Dear Steven
I missed this somehow, but thank goodness I caught it today. I think this is amazing and for me the best of your work that I have ever read. It is so good that you must remove the copyright and give it to the world.
You know, many people will not have experienced clover. I have a field (about an acre) of wild grass and flowers. There are big pacthes of many types of clover. They have different coloured flowers and different perfumes. Some are quite intoxicating. My boys have camped out in the field, with friends, over the years. When they were small, they often came in smelling of clover, clean and natural. Wonderful! Actually they always had dirty knees.
Thanks for this very professionally and artistically crafted sonnet.
I have to go to bed soon. Please pass on to Silke my very best wishes. You are a lady and gentleman inspiring so many.
Your friend always here.

Thank you, my dear friend, with all my heart.
Yes, without clover, and without English violets, the world would surely wither and dry and utterly die.
If Bush is re-elected, I shall come home, and see you there. May I camp in your clover? May I bring Silke with me?
Love to you.
God Save the Queen
God knows I may need her

What a dilema for me. He goes, you stay and we don't meet. He stays, you go and we meet. Whatever, clover is waiting for you both.
She won't taste good!
