Contagious

Gods visit me most every night
The gods of terror, gods of fright
As I think to shed the day
And every night to find a way
To shake these demons, move them on
Try new ways to make them gone
They 'gain appear and start their torture
To indicate I have no future
Spoil my chance to reach some peace
In sleep, unconsciousness release
But worse now, as I look around
New subjects now my gods have found
Contagious, plague-like I've become
Systematic, one by one
The writers, painters, poets too
Yes my friend …. it's entered you

I like the meter, the style, the rhyme, the flow...
Me living in the 'darkside' with many demons of my own (sorry they are not gods to me. ie; a GOD has the ability to create growth, demon's only know destruction [just my opinion, no reflection upon your choice of wording, it works for you, right]), I, totally, get your write.

Safe journey
