Transcendental Sonnet #945:
For You
Whatever I am able to achieve
Silke remember and always believe
Whatever I do
I do it for you
I love you as my wife
But need you for my life
My father is impressed but not surprised
In me the best of him is recognized
The sweet hope of my mother realized
I mean to be a good man and to do
Whatever I do
Not for those before me in the past
But for you beside me at the last
I do it for you

Hey Hey, you are so kind to me. Thank you with all my heart.
You'd better watch out, or annoymemost will call you a nasty name (I know what it is, but I don't want to say it here; it's what she calls people when they are civil to me).
I am heading out the door now to go down to the Plaza to contemplate the fountain and the roses (especially the gelbe Rosen, Silke's favorites), to drink a nice coffee (from where I am supposed to do a reading but am shy), and with pencil and paper in my pocket with which--one hopes--I will write another new sonnet. Wish me luck! Off I go then!
Sending lots of love across the sea...
