Welcome among us, and thank you so much for writing and posting this poem. I know it is scary the first time, but we are a nice lot round here. Well... there is one flamer... but she hates only me; you're quite safe.
I am so happy you have come to be among us here. It has been an especially strange day hereabouts--we had a bit of a dustup with the *shudder* critique board, but all is harmonious as ever here on the dear old poetry board, our little town where I, your humble servant, preside benignly. What I mean to say is that I find myself in California on PST and it is now nearly midnight, and I'm sleepy, but I really do want to welcome you and thank you for your poem...
...and to assure you that I am always a gentle gentleman, especially to such a nice poet and new friend.
