Transcendental Sonnet #929:
When You and I Ascended Everest

You and I were on the mountaintop
Standing at the summit on the peak
We slogged all the way we would not stop

Inside we are strong outside are weak
Who would believe us that we were there?
We laughed about how life is unfair

We have no proof nothing to show them
But it matters not at all not now
They never believe us we know them

Yet we ascended Everest somehow!
What a dream it was! What reality!
It feels so good now just to think of it!

As real as you and as real as me
Take this cup this dream and drink of it

Hey Hey
Steven

Very imaginative.

It would be nice to hear how you derive your poetry. Can I suggest that now and again you write a small description of what gave you the idea and how you turned it into a poem. For example do you try and imagine that you are at the location?

After all you are the boss poet and we could do with some help.

Hey Hey
