Transcendental Sonnet #928:
Another Day
I never buy lottery tickets but
I bought one today and do you know what?
Well I won! It was fun! It was only
Ten dollars but I was sad and lonely
It made me feel like maybe there is hope
For me as I struggle grapple and grope
And now as I sit in my cozy house
Curled up with my cat I dream of my Maus
I dream of my Silke across the sea
On a day when some have been mean to me
But another day of sobriety
Which is another day of victory
I don't care who bitches and who hollers
I'm still alive and I won ten dollars
