Passion's Storm

Kneeling in the grass, letting mother nature sweep us along at her pace
Passionately we kiss, allowing the wind and rain to pelt us
The fury of nature matching the intensity of our passion
Warm and wet we sink into the velvety soft grass
Caressing the moisture from each other's bodies
The pounding of our hearts echoed in the thunder crashing overhead
Lightning mimicking the sparks of passion ignited between us
As we coax nerve endings alive with the passionate yearnings of our embrace
The storm raging around us is diminished by the storm of tumultuous fervency kindled within our bodies
We plunge headlong into the torrent of our desire,
Driving to the eye of the hurricane, searching for the calm after our storm
They subside….Two storms ending as one
Mother Nature relinquishing her hold on the day
Acknowledging the passion within us for each other is the stronger, and more urgent of the two.

That word is love.*
