Waiting for you
Slide into me…….let me wrap you in warm, wet ecstasy
Caressing your hardness with infinite softness
Silk and satin against steel
Liquid heat….burning fire
Start the dance….bodies joining
Pulsing together
Driving together
Towards heaven

Hi Michelle...
I like to derive the title from the text if a title seems to be implicit within the text; often this arises from either the first, last, or climactic lines/phrases. In the case of this poem, either the first line or the last line would make equally good titles, to my mind, thus:
Waiting for You
or
Towards Heaven
Alternatively, you could try:
Start the Dance
What do you think? I hope this has been helpful to you.
Do be encouraged in your poetry; I think this is a good one.
Respect and Solidarity.

Thank you Steven. I was actually leaning toward Start the Dance, but just wasn't sure. I also like to keep the titles of my poems connected with the topic within them in some way.
Thank you very much for your support and input.

Yes, I feel like
Start the Dance
is the very best solution too.
I'm so glad I was able to help reinforce you in what your heart had already told you was right!
I have learned to always go with my intuition, and to never second-guess that still small voice which always knows what's right.
Do be encouraged in your wonderful work.
Respect and Solidarity.

Oh and Steven,
Yes I love sonnets, very much so. I've read several of yours and haven't found a one yet that I haven't enjoyed. And no matter what anyone ELSE might say or feel--feel free to give me pointers and advise whenever you feel like it, and of course, especially when it's asked in a public setting.

And I am sure you did not mean stupid---such a negative word and doesn't appear to apply to you at all.
I prefer either Computer Illiterate or Technologically Challenged
They have a much better ring to them, don't you agree??

Grinning and playful,
Can never be reverent.
Hard to define,
But ever so sentient!

Steven,
I am distressed to hear that your wife is in fragile health. My prayers are with you both that she makes a speedy and complete recovery. It's a shame that individuals in our society are unable to be happy unless they are causing pain and suffering to others. (Note the comment made to Hey Hey about looks, which I personally found rude and offensive, whether he took it that way or not). I wish for Silke to have the strength to ignore the darts and arrows tossed her way by your heckler. (Being nice here--had something all together different written at first) I have found nothing in her posts over the last week that would warrent hostility toward her or her poetry. It is exquisite and beyond beautiful. She is obviously a loving and gentle soul and you are truely a very lucky man. Keep taking care of her.
Thank you for the information regarding your grandfather. I hope to live to such a grand agae, although I hope to do so with my hair intact.

It takes a great erotic poem to inspire this many replies. That could be a title: "Great Erotic Poem." (too generic, eh?)

I've titled it with my first instinct, which was re-enforced by Steven

and thank you Rick...I'll remember that title for the next one I'm stuck on.
