Transcendental Sonnet #888:
My Little Blue Star

I always believe in my little blue star
No matter how faint and no matter how far

No matter how hopeless it all might seem now
My little blue star is still shining somehow

Up there in the sky tonight not just to me
My little blue star is no mere fantasy

But shining in the southwest sky bright and blue
And it serves as the image for my tattoo

With the name of Silke drawn within its frame
I bear her in my heart and I wear her name

On my arm may she be safe from harm tonight
Somehow I have never seen it shine so bright

My little blue star will never fade away
But become the very Morning Star someday

Lovely Lovely Lovely!
Thank you,so much....
(I think this is my new favourite sonnet...I will print it out to read it again later!)

"I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.

I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, who has sight so keen and strong
That it can follow the flight of song?

Long, long afterward, in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend."
(-- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)

Silkchen, do you know who My Little Blue Star is?

You!

I love you, baby-girl.

I have never known anyone who loved poetry as passionately as I do, except for you; you are my soulmate, my muse, my all, my everything.
