My son Stevie, Steven Curtis Lance, Jr., was born on 16 August 1985, and that was a very good day. He is a wonderful poet, and he is on his way to becoming a rock star. He has a band, and they're really good. As soon as they have enough songs, they'll make a CD and do shows. I have one of his songs on my computer, and I really like it. He plays keyboards really well, and sings well, and composes well, but my favorite thing about Stevie is his poetry. I think he will be a much better poet than I am pretty soon, and that will be wonderful. Generational progress! The species advances! I think Stevie is a lot smarter than me, but, then again, a lot of people are. Here is an amazing fact about Stevie: He is 6 feet 5 inches tall! Yowza! How did that happen? I am tiny next to him! When he hugs me it is like being hugged by a huge pine tree! What I mean to say is:
*~HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVIE!~*
*~I'M REALLY PROUD OF YOU!~*
*~YOU'RE A BETTER POET THAN YOUR FATHER, AND THAT'S A GOOD THING!~*

Happy B-Day Pine Tree! Where are your posts? I would like to chew on them for a while. Take good care of your aging +Goofball father. He may need a walker soon but he's a good guy all around.

Congratulations Steve Snr. on your son's birthday, your pride shows.
Here's a thought old chap, how about your youngster grabbing a few of my poems from the board and making them into songs. World peace is a subject that everyone can relate to and if he likes them, then he can get the copyright for any musical piece.
If he can make it a success through song, then he deserves the rewards. I have contemplated releasing some of them as songs through others, so why can't your son be one of them too ?
If nothing else consider the idea of being a small insignificant present from a friend of his old man !
"Tillykke Med Fødselsdagen ung mand" as the Danes like to say. !
Namaste

Hey, Hey Hey, remember reading what Winston Churchill said of Clement Atlee? That he was a very modest man, and he had a great deal to be modest about? Words to that effect? Well, that's me. I have a great deal indeed to be modest about, my son not so much so; yet, he is indeed kind. He's always been an especially sweet and loving person, and I am really proud of him for that. We have jokingly called him the Crown Prince in the family... he has always been kind, but maybe not quite as modest as he is now; life teaches modesty rather severely, and he has learned. He is indeed a very kind person. He has not, thank God, been utterly broken as I have been, but that's OK. I apopreciate your saying I am kind; about all I know is: "the more I know, the less I know." And that ego is pointless, meaningless. I have a great deal to be modest about. Thanks for your birthday wishes! I will have to pass them along to the Honorable for you. He sure is tall!
Dear Kevin and John, thank you both also for your well-wishes; I got off on a bit of a tangent there with Hey Hey, but please know that your words mean a great deal to me, and are very much appreciated. Thank you!

I just thought I should post this here for Steven Jr.
(I little late....sorry...
)
Wishing you a message of how special you are.
Today. Tomorrow. And forever.
Wishing you a day of celebration
And favorite people gathered together.
Wishing you wonderful thoughts.
And the best memories anybody ever had.
Wishing you new paths and promises ahead.
And a million reasons to be glad.
Wishing you the warmth of friends and family.
And loved ones always close by.
Wishing you the gifts happiness brings.
And the treasures money can't buy.
Wishing you success and serenity.
Cake, candles, and a wish come true.
Wishing you a reminder of how much nicer
this world is...because of you.
