My dearest darling girl come back to me!
That I have been a fool is plain to see
But only out of insecurity
I never could believe it to be true
That mere me could be loved by perfect you
But I am beginning to realize
At last I am coming to know it now
And I can see the truth in your blue eyes

I beg you to forgive me for how slow

To understand to accept and to know
