What is it that we seek?

We seek to expand our minds, but expand them into where?
We search for the elixir of knowledge to expand the mind and soul.
A tincture of mystic potion to allow us to reach beyond Valhalla.
We have not the eyes to see, the hands to feel, nor the tongue to speak
Yet we proudly muddle onward in search of all that is hidden from our minds.
Convinced by our insanity and confident in our audacity to touch the Heavens
and wrest the secrets of Creation from the minds of the gods themselves.
It is in our madness we glimpse the heavens, and at first sight we go insane
and speak in tongues that no man can understand unless he too be mad.
It is the curse of Babble we bring upon ourselves for being so profane
in our insanity as to contemplate those things decreed beyond our reach.
It is only in such madness the truth can be found for those who are insane,
and it is the truth that we perceive which will surely drive us mad.
We seek the mystic elixir to expand our minds to madness.
For it is only in insanity that we can know all truth.

Dear Chuck,

You seem to be able to perceive the nuances of madness and the truth that can be found within choas.

Deftly put.
