In your cherry coke
I'll be the lemon
In your lemonade.

Drink me--bottoms up
Sip me up
My fizz on your upper lip
I'm a bubbly in your tummy
Until your acids
...Eat me.

You poured a full glass of me
For yourself
Watched me readily
As I got hot
I finally evaporated
...Into nothingness.

Sip me--through a straw
Leave no remnants of me
In the bottom of your glass
Devour me-- cold, carbonated
Finish me off
Before my bubbles
...Die Down.
